The Ballr NRL SuperCoach podcast crew of Jono and Tubes broke down a Round 21 in which the players continued dropping like flies to bring more trade headaches.
Round 21 was the most chaotic round of the NRL SuperCoach season, and Ballr hosts Jono (Hungry Fermor) and Tubes broke down all the fallout on the latest Sunday Snap episode.
Jono posted a solid 1,440 points despite a horror Friday night (Mark Nawaqanitawase managed just 21, Dylan Lucas 19, Harry Grant 6), while Tubes finished just under, on roughly 1,408 - both happy to limit the damage in a brutal week for SuperCoaches everywhere.
The carnage list
It's a long one: Tallis Duncan (hamstring), David Fifita (suspension), Adam Doueihi (walking out on the Tigers), Dylan Edwards (shoulder), Kalyn Ponga (late withdrawal), Dylan Lucas (ankle fracture/dislocation), Dylan Brown (ACL) and Harry Grant (hamstring) all going down, gutting squads across the board.
Ready to Explode
The Wests Tigers' brutal upcoming draw (Roosters, Cowboys, Panthers) was flagged as a buy signal for opposing players.
At hooker, Blayke Brailey was named the safest Harry Grant replacement after a 68-point outing, while Sandon Smith was floated as a cheaper POD option from the Knights.
Rage Trades
Alex Twal's reduced 54-minute role and the Wests Tigers' unravelling season were the talking points, though both hosts urged patience given how few trades remain this late in the year.
Round highlights
Nicho Hynes produced a near-perfect 183-point haul in the Sharks' win over Manly, with Ronaldo Mulitalo (100) also starring and Haumole Olakau'atu (75 points in 80 minutes) delivering despite being on the wrong end of the 48-12 scoreline.
Jayden Campbell's 140-point performance for the Titans against the Dragons was another headline, with the Titans' favourable home-heavy run tipped to keep him in career-best form. Up front, Dragons twins Ryan and Toby Couchman both impressed, while Simi Sasagi's 110-point game for Canberra had him rated as arguably the buy of the round for owners looking to replace Dylan Lucas.
Looking ahead
Jono is locking in a back-row trade for the injured Dylan Lucas, weighing up Jacob Kiraz and Jacob Preston, and is still deciding whether to hold or trade Harry Grant.
Tubes is planning to sit tight given his depleted trade bank, with Simi Sasagi the one player he'd consider bringing in if forced to move.
