NRL SuperCoach Round 15 Review: Big Scores, Buys & Busts From the Second Major Bye Round
Round 15 was the second major bye round of the 2026 NRL SuperCoach season — a week that separated the shrewd managers from the reactive ones. Here's how the Snap covered it.
Jono and Tubes discussed some massive scorers and warned of the potential trade-in traps and treasure troves, while sharing the pain of major injuries that devastated coaches.
Keano Kini Drops 142: Should You Chase It?
The headline score of the round belonged to Gold Coast Titans fullback Keano Kini, who exploded for 142 SuperCoach points against the Wests Tigers.
The Kiwis international racked up three try assists, four line breaks, and 40 points from runs alone in what was a breathtaking display at the back.
With Reece Walsh, Kalyn Ponga, and James Tedesco all away on State of Origin duty, the value of premium fullbacks suddenly looks shaky — and Kini's price is still within reach.
Tubes and Jono both acknowledge this is a classic case of chasing last week's points, but note the performance had genuine substance behind it.
Rabbitohs Feast on Depleted Broncos
South Sydney put the decimated Brisbane Broncos to the sword to the cheers of many SuperCoach managers.
Latrell Siegwalt stepped up with 109 points, including 32 from goal-kicking. Now 15% owned in the top 10% and having already made over $200K, Siegwalt is proving one of the season's best value pickups after some huge price rises.
His job security is shaky though and coaches will be holding their breath until Round 17 - with Souths on bye in Round 16 - to see if he can slide on to the wing with centres Latrell Mitchell and Jack Wighton due back.
Tallis Duncan was another Rabbitohs standout with 82 points at centre and crucially he is set to receive dual 2RF/CTW position status prior to Round 18.
News of Tallis Duncan's likely dual-position status came from NRL SuperCoach head honcho Tom Sangster on the official podcast last week.
It makes him a genuine Swiss-army knife option for SuperCoach managers hunting flexible cover through to the end of the season.
Back-rower David Fifita posted 79 points in 60 minutes as a reward for new owners.
Jono and Tubes say this is just scratching the surface and expect his position as the focal attacking point on the right side of the field to be beneficial.
One player who's ready to explode is Alex Johnston, who bagged four tries for 124 points - his fourth 100-plus score of the season - and even at $740K after this round's price movement, he's expensive, but the Rabbitohs have no byes from Round 17 onwards and he seems to thrive whoever is one his inside.
Farnworth & Lemuelu Star for Dolphins
The Dolphins continued their SuperCoach-friendly ways against an Origin-depleted Roosters outfit.
Herbie Farnworth was outstanding with 137 points (try, two assists, a TC, and 56 in base+power, repeatedly exploiting a clear mismatch on his edge.
Connelly Lemuelu also delivered 76 points with a try and 55 in base+power, so who went the POD move away from Fifita were equally rewarded.
Rage Trade of the Week: Kai Pearce-Paul
The week's most frustrating injury news centred on Wests Tigers back-rower Kai Pearce-Paul, who was 20% purchased in the top 10% this round only to suffer a pectoral injury with just 9 SuperCoach points to his name, with fears it's season over for the rangy Englishman.
Haumole Olakau'atu looms as the clear trade-in target for KPP owners.
