Team Overview
The Dragons and Eels now share top spot with an average of 66.4 points conceded per position. The Dragons dropped by 0.2 but retained 1st, while Parramatta moved up from 2nd despite their average falling slightly from 66.5.
North Queensland remain unchanged at 65.8 but have climbed from 4th to 3rd. The Tigers slipped to 4th after dropping from 65.9 to 65.7. Only 0.7 points separate the top four teams heading into Round 25.
The Bulldogs recorded the largest increase of the week, rising by 0.7 to 59.8 and moving above Newcastle into 11th. Manly also climbed by 0.4 and now share 9th with South Sydney at 60.1. The Panthers rose by 0.3 but remain 16th.
The Dolphins and Warriors recorded the largest drops, both falling by 0.7. Neither moved in the rankings though, with the Dolphins holding 14th and the Warriors remaining 15th.
The Tigers continue to lead the right side rankings at 65.9. The Dragons sit 2nd at 64.6, while Brisbane and Manly share 4th at 63.5. Parramatta remain the clear left side target at 68.9, followed by the Titans at 66.2 and Melbourne at 66.0.
The Roosters remain the most restrictive team overall at 55.0 and have the lowest right side average at 51.9. The Warriors have replaced Newcastle as the toughest left side matchup at 52.6, with Penrith next at 53.6.
Fullback
Tom Trbojevic has the strongest season matchup among the major options against Newcastle. The Knights concede 74.5 across the season and 76.6 across five rounds, although their three round average has dropped to 64.7.
Kalyn Ponga gets a strong recent matchup against Manly. The Sea Eagles sit at 64.8 for the season but have climbed to 74.3 across three rounds and 70.6 across five. Sua Fa’alogo also benefits from Penrith rising to 65.7 across three and 71.8 across five.
Keano Kini faces a steady Cronulla matchup at 64.4 for the season, 67.7 across three and 65.2 across five. Matt Dufty’s Warriors matchup is less appealing at 63.2 for the season and 55.0 across three.
Dylan Edwards faces a Melbourne side conceding 69.7 across the season but only 55.7 across three rounds. James Tedesco or Cody Ramsey gets a similar split against the Tigers. Their 70.5 season average looks strong but recent figures of 57.3 and 57.0 are far less appealing.
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow faces one of the biggest traps. Parramatta concede 64.9 across the season but have dropped to 40.7 across three rounds and 44.0 across five. Daniel Atkinson has the best recent matchup against the Bulldogs at 90.0 across three and 75.0 across five. Jahream Bula has the toughest assignment against the Roosters at 54.5 for the season and 43.2 across five.
Right wing
Dominic Young has the standout matchup against Manly. The Sea Eagles concede a competition high 69.6 across the season and remain at 68.0 across three rounds and 75.2 across five.
Jacob Kiraz faces the 2nd highest season average against the Dragons at 66.4, although their recent numbers have dropped to 54.7 across three and 56.6 across five. Mark Nawaqanitawase gets another strong season matchup against the Tigers at 64.1 but recent averages of 47.3 and 53.0 make it far less convincing.
Jamayne Isaako’s Parramatta matchup is the opposite. The Eels concede only 51.8 across the season but have opened up to 74.0 across three rounds and 69.2 across five.
Brian To’o faces a difficult Melbourne edge conceding 50.7 for the season and 47.4 across five rounds. Jason Saab has the toughest recent matchup against Newcastle, who have fallen to 15.3 across three and 27.8 across five. Xavier Savage also deserves attention against Brisbane after their five round average climbed to 78.0.
Right centre
Robert Toia has the standout matchup among the relevant players against the Tigers. They concede 65.2 across the season and have climbed to 76.3 across three rounds and 77.4 across five.

Mawene Hiroti has the best matchup across the position against Gold Coast. The Titans concede a competition high 71.9 for the season, 83.7 across three rounds and 74.6 across five. Reuben Garrick also faces an improving Newcastle edge sitting at 73.7 across three and 67.0 across five.
Will Penisini has one of the toughest matchups against the Dolphins at only 33.3 across three rounds. Jack Wighton also runs into a restrictive Warriors edge while Patrick Herbert faces the lowest season average against the Roosters at 46.3.
Right half
Nicho Hynes has a far better matchup than Gold Coast’s 52.8 season average suggests. The Titans have surged to 88.3 across three rounds and 68.4 across five. It is one of the clearest recent form boosts across any position.
Nathan Cleary faces a Melbourne side conceding 54.9 across the season. Their recent averages remain low at 51.7 across three rounds and 52.0 across five, making it a difficult matchup by this measure.
Isaiya Katoa gets the best season matchup against Parramatta at 70.0. The Eels remain high at 70.7 across three rounds and 70.2 across five. Sandon Smith also deserves attention against Manly, who have exploded to 101.0 across three and 82.0 across five.
Lachlan Ilias has the toughest recent matchup against Cronulla at only 25.0 across three rounds and 40.6 across five. Mitchell Moses also faces a Dolphins side conceding just 33.0 across three.
